Today is our first official day of shooting on the Troma set for “The Power of Positive Murder,” & let me tell you, it’s been an adventure! There’s a tornado warning—or is it a watch? Whatever, it’s something wild happening outside. The house is super damp from all the rain, & with no air conditioning, it’s a hot, sticky mess. The wetness is just thrusting in through the open windows, making us all clammy & turning my hair into a massive, fabulous mane!

I’ve caught a bit of the "under-the-weather" blues. Nothing serious—just couldn’t sleep at all last night, & now my head is pounding like crazy.

& I’ve been so hungry the whole time I’ve been here! They only provide one meal a day, which I know is pretty standard on film sets. But we’re out in the middle of nowhere, so there’s no way to just pop out for a snack or order delivery. There are no delivery drivers brave enough to come out here! The “crafty” (the snacks in between meals) is just a bunch of sweets, which, surprise, surprise, I’m not really into. Don’t get me wrong, I love cookies, cakes, & bars just like anyone else, but I’m so over processed sugars right now.

So, last night, during our “family trip” to Walmart, I picked up some croissants, butter, & other yummy things that make more sense to eat. I think I’ll be just fine now!

We’ve got just under four more weeks here to survive. I can’t wait to get home to my dog! But right after this, I have to pack for the “Universal Clown Summit” in Owensboro, KY. I’m hoping they have lots of fun classes on clowning & that I can shoot some content while I’m there—mostly of the clown variety. Does that kinda thing freak you out? 😝

I’ve made an amazing friend here named Amanda Flowers. She’s a fantastic actress with the longest, most beautiful hair, & we’re sharing a room. I’m already feeling a little sad about leaving her behind in New York. She lives here, & I can’t help but feel like my friends back home just aren’t as creative or interesting as the people on this production. Sometimes, it feels like I was born in the wrong place around the wrong people.

No one here bats an eye about being a “spicy creator,” so I don’t have to dim my shine. Even though I’m physically miserable with the dampness & constant hunger, I’m overjoyed to be surrounded by such amazing, inspiring people.

Oh, & I lost my bag of psych meds, which might be why I’m feeling extra emotional. The local pharmacy (30 minutes away) doesn’t have my ADHD meds in stock, so I’m just waiting for them to order them in. I really think they help me.

Anyway, I wanted to give you all a THOROUGH update! I know my updates have been shorter than usual because we’ve been so busy, but here you go! Tell me what you think!
