Patsy Mink

In 1959 when Hawaii becam.. from onlyfans

♀️ Feminist Friday ♀️ Patsy Mink In 1959 when Hawaii became a U.S. State, Patsy Mink knew she wanted to run for a position in government. Little did she know, she would become the first woman of colour elected to the U.S. House of Representatives and the first Asian-American woman to serve in Congress. In addition to writing bills like Title IX, the Early Childhood Education Act, and the Women's Educational Equity Act, Mink was the first Asian-American to run for U.S. President. Patsy Matsu Takemoto was born on December 6, 1927 in Paia, Hawaii. One of two children, her father, Suematsu Takemoto was a civil engineer. When she was a junior at Maui High School, she won her first election as class president. She graduated in 1944 as the valedictorian. After graduation, she went on to attend Wilson College in Pennsylvania and the University of Nebraska but transferred after facing racial discrimination. All students of color were not allowed to live in the same dorms as white students. In addition, Mink was diagnosed with a thyroid condition that needed surgery. She decided to move to Honolulu to finish her schooling at the University of Hawaii with hopes of becoming a doctor. At her new school, she became a member of the varsity debate team, and was elected president of the Pre-Medicine Students Club. She graduated in 1948 with majors in zoology and chemistry. She applied to several medical schools after graduating but none of her applications were accepted. Instead, Mink decided to apply to law school and was accepted at the University of Chicago Law School. While at the University of Chicago, she met John Mink playing the card game bridge at the International House. The two married and remained in Chicago. Patsy graduated from Law School in 1951 but kept her job at the University of Chicago Law School library. The next year, they moved to Hawaii after having their daughter Gwendolyn. Gwendolyn would grow up to be an author and advocate for women’s issues. While in Hawaii, Patsy Mink registered for the bar exam to be able to practice law in the territory. Unfortunately, even after she passed, Mink was unable to find a job because of her interracial marriage. She decided to start her own practice instead and founded the Oahu Y oung Democrats in 1954. She became the first Japanese-American woman to practice law in her home state of Hawaii. Mink also worked as a private attorney for the House of Representatives in that territory. When Hawaii became a state in 1959, Mink immediately began campaigning to be elected as a congresswoman. Although Mink’s first attempt was unsuccessful, she returned to politics in 1962 when she won a seat in the Hawaii State Senate. She continued to campaign for a seat in the U.S. Congress even after the Democratic party decided to support another candidate. In 1964, a second position was created in the U.S. House of Representatives. With the help of her husband and several unpaid volunteers, Mink won a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, making her the first Asian-American woman to serve in Congress. As a congresswoman, Mink fought for gender and racial equality, affordable childcare, bilingual education, and became a supporter of Title IX. She was one of the authors and sponsors of the Title IX law that stated that “No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.”[1] While she worked in Washington, D.C., she also traveled back to Hawaii every other week to make sure she was connected to the issues and concerns of the Hawaiian people. She successfully served on many committees while in congress including; the Committee on Education and Labor, Committee on Interior and Insular Affairs, and the Budget Committee. Through these committees, she was able to voice the concerns of groups that were discriminated against. In 1974, she was able to pass the Women’s Educational Equity Act to promote gender equality in schools. Recognized for her work, Mink was asked by the Oregon Democrats to run for United States President with the support of their party. Their focus on the anti-war movement attracted Mink, and she decided to run for president. Unfortunately, she only received 2 percent of the vote. After this, Mink remained active in politics and served as the president of the Americans for Democratic Action. She also served as Assistant Secretary of State for Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs. In 1990, Mink was reelected to Congress and served six terms in the House of Representatives. During this time she also formed the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus. In August of 2002, Mink was hospitalized for pneumonia. A month later, Patsy Mink died in Honolulu, Hawaii. Due to the upcoming election, her name was still on the ballot in November even though she passed away a month before. She won the election by a landslide but was replaced by Ed Case. After her death, the Title IX law was renamed the Patsy T. Mink Equal Opportunity in Education Act.

Alice Paul

A vocal leader of the twe.. from onlyfans

♀️ Feminist Friday ♀️ Alice Paul A vocal leader of the twentieth century women’s suffrage movement, Alice Paul advocated for and helped secure passage of the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution, granting women the right to vote. Paul next authored the Equal Rights Amendment in 1923, which has yet to be adopted. Born on January 11, 1885 in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, Paul was the oldest of four children of Tacie Parry and William Paul, a wealthy Quaker businessman. Paul’s parents embraced gender equality, education for women, and working to improve society. Paul’s mother, a suffragist, brought her daughter with her to women’s suffrage meetings. Paul attended Swarthmore College, a Quaker school cofounded by her grandfather, graduating with a biology degree in 1905. She attended the New York School of Philanthropy (now Columbia University) and received a Master of Arts degree in sociology in 1907. She then went to England to study social work, and after returning, earned a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania in 1910. While in England, Paul met American Lucy Burns, and joining the women’s suffrage efforts there, they learned militant protest tactics, including picketing and hunger strikes. Back in the United States, in 1912, Paul and Burns joined the National American Woman Suffrage Association (NAWSA), with Paul leading the Washington, DC chapter. NAWSA primarily focused on state-by-state campaigns; Paul preferred to lobby Congress for a constitutional amendment. Such differences led Paul and others to split with NAWSA and form the National Woman's Party. Borrowing from her British counterparts, Paul organized parades and pickets in support of suffrage. Her first—and the largest—was in Washington, DC, on March 3, 1913, the day before President-elect Woodrow Wilson’s inauguration. Approximately eight thousand women marched with banners and floats down Pennsylvania Avenue from the Capitol to the White House, while a half million spectators watched, supported and harassed the marchers. On March 17, Paul and other suffragists met with Wilson, who said it was not yet time for an amendment to the Constitution. On April 7, Paul organized a demonstration and founded the Congressional Union for Woman Suffrage to focus specifically on lobbying Congress. In January 1917, Paul and over 1,000 “Silent Sentinels” began eighteen months of picketing the White House, standing at the gates with such signs as, “Mr. President, how long must women wait for liberty?” They endured verbal and physical attacks from spectators, which increased after the US entered World War I. Instead of protecting the women’s right to free speech and peaceful assembly, the police arrested them on the flimsy charge of obstructing traffic. Paul was sentenced to jai l for seven months, where she organized a hunger strike in protest. Doctors threatened to send Paul to an insane asylum and force-fed her, while newspaper accounts of her treatment garnered public sympathy and support for suffrage. By 1918, Wilson announced his support for suffrage. It took two more years for the Senate, House, and the required 36 states to approve the amendment. Afterward, Paul and the National Women’s Party focused on the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) to guarantee women constitutional protection from discrimination. Paul spent her life advocating for this and other women’s issues. The ERA was ratified by 35 states in the 1970s, but by the 1982 deadline was three states short of 38 needed to become a constitutional amendment.

"A Gift for Roxy" This was filmed as a gift for an ex slave of mine, but it's so good it would be a shame to waste on only a pair of ungrateful eyes. "Eat it" 1080p HD Goddesses are quite simply at liberty to as they please with there slaves, today Goddess Serena feels like being cruel & sadistic to this slave purely because she desires to do so! Slave will not be eating tonight when placed back in his cage, so Goddess is kindly going to feed him before cage time. Dropping his food to the floor and crushing it with her stiletto heels she adds spit and cigarette ash to his meal. He is encouraged to eat every last bit, hairs and all, as she digs her stilettos into his hands and slaps his face. His efforts are rewarded when she stubs out his cigarette on his backside! One very powerful Goddess, one very owned and humiliated slave!

Elizabeth Magie was .. from onlyfans

♀️ Feminist Friday ♀️ Elizabeth Magie Elizabeth Magie was a bold and progressive American game designer who created The Landlord’s Game, a precursor to Monopoly, to illustrate the economic theories of political economist and journalist Henry George. George believed the economic value acquired from land should belong to all members of society equally. Magie was born in 1866 in Illinois to a forward-thinking political family. Magie’s father, James Magie, was a newspaper publisher who had accompanied Abraham Lincoln around Illinois in the 1850s when Lincoln was engaging in public debates with American politician Stephen Douglas. James Magie was also an anti-monopolist and introduced his daughter to Henry George’s 1879 text Progress and Poverty, which would later form the backbone of her political beliefs and inspire the creation of The Landlord’s Game. Progress and Poverty was incredibly popular – it outsold all books except the Bible in the 1890s – and continues to be influential in left-wing activism and policy. The text outlined the theory that individuals should own what they have made or created, but that land should belong to the collective. Most famously, George championed a single tax on land which shifted the burden of taxation to wealthy landowners. George argued that this tax would be so significant it would allow the state to invest in public and social services, and would encourage landowners to use land in a responsible and collective way. In the early 1880s, Magie worked as a stenographer, a profession which gained popularity among women in that decade. Away from work, she explored her creativity: she performed in theatres, drew, wrote short stories, experimented with engineering and began designing The Landlord’s Game. In 1903, Magie filed the patent for the game, and in 1905 she published a version of the game through the Economic Game Company. When Magie applied for the patent, she represented less than one percent of women applying for patents. The game had two sets of rules. There was an anti-monopolist version, where all were rewarded when wealth was created, and a monopolist set in which the goal was to bankrupt other players in order to win the game. Magie had hoped that the game would show how ruthless and grossly unjust capitalism was, an spur players into agitating for reform. The Landlord’s Game was designed to be a practical demonstration of the system of land-grabbing and to demonstrate the outcomes and consequences. Magie’s version featured mock money, deeds and properties which could be bought and sold, while players needed to borrow money from each other or from the bank and pay taxes. Magie’s board also featured the square most popularly associated with Monopoly: GO TO JA IL. Her game became a cult favourite among left-wing intellectuals and was played on college campuses. Such was the game’s popularity, Magie obtained a patent on her revised version and a second edition was produced in 1932. Charles Darrow was introduced to the game by friends and he eventually sold the idea to Parker Brothers as Monopoly in 1934, without any acknowledgement of Magie. The version which went to market, and made Darrow a rags-to-riches folklore in the process, was the capitalist version. After Darrow sold Monopoly, Parker Brothers offered Magie $500, with no royalties, for her patent. When Parker Brothers offered to produce the original Landlord’s Game, plus two further new games as invented by Magie, she agreed. Parker Brothers produced The Landlord’s Game and two further games. Bargain Day and King’s Men were produced in 1937, and The Landlord’s Game followed in 1939. Today, copies of the three games are incredibly rare. Magie was also critical about the role of women in America. Shortly after she received the patent for The Landlord’s Game, she took out an advert and offered herself for sale as a ‘you ng woman, American slave’ to the highest bidder. She mocked the expectations of how women should present themselves and described herself as ‘not beautiful’ but had ‘features full of character and strength, yet truly feminine.’ The stunt made national headlines and Magie told reporters that her goal had been to make a statement about the subjugated position of women. Magie was offered a job as a journalist off the back of it. At the age of 82, Elizabeth Magie died in 1948 and was buried alongside her husband, Albert Phillips, who she had married at the age of 44. Her obituary did not mention her role in creating Monopoly, and neither does her headstone. Magie’s key role in inventing Monopoly was unearthed in 1973. Economics professor Ralph Anspach was in the middle of a legal battle to publish an Anti-Monopoly board game and when researching his case he discovered Magie’s patents. Anspach’s battle ended at the Supreme Court, where he won the right to produce his Anti-Monopoly game and, in the process, brought public attention to Magie’s lost brilliance.

"Let's Play" As strict as Goddess Serena is she does also like the odd game or two. Today she has her slaves out of their chastity cages and proudly standing beside her, no doubt hoping for a rare chance to cum! However, that’s not going to happen, although one slave will get a little pleasure from Goddess’s loving touch and a little moisturiser. The second slave will also experience Goddess’s loving touch but unluckily for him deep heat is on his menu!
