One of my favorite videos of all of 2022 (and one of my most popular), was created by a remote collaboration with @poetrising. We both aimed to create an intimate video around the ritual of coffee and a soft slow morning that turns spicy. When I filmed this, I was able to spend an entire weekend in this space. I streamed from there and had a few quiet mornings to reflect and be comfortable. I tapped into my creative flow and the result, for me at least, is electrifying. ⚡️ This is the kind of work I aspire to create, always. *To celebrate the end of 2022, some of my favorite videos will be on sale. This week I'll be reliving a few of my favorite moments and videos from 2022. This clip - which hasn't been seen since it was livestreamed - is from a very special night of Camp Emma (my September rank month on MFC). I planned a theme of "Anarchy Night" for that evening's livestream, with a lot of cute ideas. But um, planning for anarchy is not how anarchy works! 😂 I absolutely had to stream that night to keep pace with the race for #1 (there were only 3 days left in September!), but the WiFi at my rental didn't work! I had to scramble quickly and find a new location with high speed internet that was available last minute. And I mean last minute. Somehow, as if by divine grace, I found something not too far away. I had to quickly pack up all my stuff and drive through a torrential downpour to get there and *set up all my filming equipment in a new, unknown location* while hours behind schedule. It was... messy. Just typing all this out takes me back to those intense moments. But as fate would have it, the stream went great. We took back the #1 spot and kept it til the end! (And the new location had the fastest and best quality WiFi of the entire month!) Maybe I’ll share more of what happened that night 👀 (hint: fuck machine and bridal lingerie lol)… it was *unhinged* but so much fun! It was a night when I alchemized disaster into triumph. Ya know, just Emma things ;) ✨

I am obsessed with winter baths... but I'm thinking that maybe next fall I get a sauna? My friend's husband built her a beautiful one for their backyard and I can't stop thinking about it... I don't know what do y'all think? Maybe there's someone out there who wants to spoil me with one. :)

My friend @poetrising reminded me of Celtic "Omen Days" which are the days between Christmas and the New Year. The time leading up to the Solstice was of course a time of magic and transition, but what about this week following? It's said that the days between Christmas and the start of the new year are a *time-out-of-time.* "They’re a liminal space—where you aren’t quite done with the previous year, but the new cycle has yet to begin..." This feels correct. It's common to feel a bit in limbo during this time. And best to reduce workload, and instead rest, feast, and dive into ritual. I was already planning to allow myself time to nest and hibernate a little, so this matches exactly where I'm at. Now that the bulk of the 'busy holiday' is over, I plan to harness my energy for a bit longer before I emerge again. Of course I'll still be here a bit in this time 'off' - but I'll be mostly continuing to share past work/content until I'm ready to begin again come early Jan. :) Where are you at? Anyone care to share?

I finally got hot water again so I’m closing my Christmas Eve with a sacred bath. I’m using plant allies of sage, skullcap, jasmine, mugwort, and cornflower to help integrate the recent new moon, with my Yule candle, and selected stones (bloodstone, citrine, pink moonstone, blue lace agate and aragonite, for anyone curious.) I’ve also added juniper salt, magnesium flakes, and Dead Sea salt. (Magnesium flakes are a potent way to absorb magnesium which honestly, everyone should try adding to their regime especially at nighttime - just research the different types to see what resonates most). Baths are one of my favorite potions and anytime I’m feeling like it’s hard to be a human on this earth, I know to find water to immerse myself in. It helps *every time.*

Been feeling through 2022 and all the challenges, insight and ultimately, beauty and growth it’s brought me. Honestly, this year exhausted me to my core at times and it made it difficult to show up for my work consistently in the ways I’ve desired. And I’ve also simultaneously come to understand that my work is only a part of who I am and what drives me as a human. So at times I’ve taken space. At times I’ve been on *coasting mode.* At times I’ve recycled content because I just can’t find the desire to produce *more.* And all of that is okay. I don’t want to outline all the ways I anticipate or hope to evolve my work and page here come January, but I will set the intention with you all that I’m ready to be vulnerable, seen and experiment again. And I also know that sometimes that means I’ll take space or I won’t be producing or feeling expansive in a way that showing / connecting / sharing feels good. What I feel deeply committed to is being of service to myself and others. Telling my stories and allowing myself to be seen in ways that are sometimes frightening. And remembering to bring lightness and ease along the way. ♥️
