I am working on a somewhat lengthy post about the āwhyā behind me struggling a bit more than normal right now.
I just learned the term yesterday: autistic burnout.
I was diagnosed late in life (age 38) and there are MANY āa-haā components to the diagnosis. Also - it is not a self diagnosisā¦. I demanded a full psych evaluation before starting therapy so my therapists and I would have actual data to use for developing a treatment plan šš¤·š¼āāļø
My four diagnoses: autism, major depressive disorder, anxiety and complex PTSD.
Not super fun - many of them compete with each other and can make āprogressā a challenge.
I consider myself a solution-oriented individual and have always struggled with people who appear stuckā¦ and now that I am sort of experiencing my own version of āstuck-nessā - I am struggling to be patient and compassionate with myself while I troubleshoot the various components that resulted in my current negative feedback cycle.
I know I will figure this outā¦.and recognize the signs/symptoms before it gets this out of hand in the futureā¦ I am just new to some of this.
As many people knowā¦ often things get worse before they get better. And trauma treatment is one of those situations that is non-linear and merge that with autismā¦and depressionā¦and anxietyā¦
I will have some shit to sort out before finding my new āsteady stateā š¤·š¼āāļø
I make these posts to continue being āmeā which includes sharing the ups/downs that create shifts in my life & content-making.
It is also about raising awarenessā¦ and just the idea that if more people share and/or realize we all have our shitā¦ š¤·š¼āāļø
I donāt feel āvulnerableā about sharing, which makes it easier to post and interact in the world the way I do.
It is the idea that many humans are struggling and feel alone in their strugglesā¦
When we all struggle in our own ways
I like the idea of just being someone who puts bits and pieces out that might help shift perspectives or help people feel more connected.

Hey everyone! Even though life is a bit stressful right now ..
Hey everyone! Even though life is a bit stressful right now - I know it will not always be this stressful andā¦ I indulge in my time with my animals, really neat skies, peeks at the mountains or oceanā¦. It is harder to share that side with you.
Andā¦ on days that start at pet urgent care - I donāt get to do my morning coffee/nudes or do my much needed house cleaning/toy organization šš¤·š¼āāļø
The other day when going into the store - the skies looked like a watercolor painting; it was amazing. I took a photo but the parking lot light poles were very distractingā¦.and I couldnāt capture the extent of the awesomeness.
I definitely prefer when my life is more āorganizedā and am cleaning up & re-grouping after everything that has happened. Hope everyone is well š

As of now, they drained & flushed his face, gave him antibiotics and pain meds. They don't know if it is a dental issue or an injury that festered.
I have to babysit him for the afternoon/evening as he can't walk well after being sedated.
He just ate an entire can of wet food, so he is feeling a lot better already. āŗļø
