Stopping the spread of ANY disease between clients is something stylists should be taking seriously, and Covid is no different! My client hadn't had her hair colored since before the pandemic, and she was seriously wanting a pick me up! A partial highlight, olaplex, and a trim later and she was feelin fresh again!

Let's talk skin care! I keep mine pretty simple, but even implementing these couple of things since the start of the pandemic has made a difference! First, I use the ELF Cleansing Duo Face Brush with the Pixi Clarity Cleanser. This is a deep cleaning cleanser with Salicylic, Glycolic, and Lactic Acids for deep cleaning and skin renewal. I never have used "deep cleaning" cleansers before, but after wearing masks 10+ hours, my skin was suffering. My chin is really the only place I break out when I have hormonal breakouts, and that on top of the mask was not good 😅 I wash with that once a day, and use the Pixi Clarity Tonic after. It uses the same blend of acids and probiotics to keep the skin balanced and healthy! And then in the morning I use Aveeno Positively Radiant moisturizer/spf! At night I sometimes use a retinol serum but I'm really inconsistent with that. Look, I'm new to this! And let's be real there are nights I don't do this, but I always make sure to wipe my face with Aveeno Positively Radiant Wipes. Do you do anything with skincare?

Do you have textured hair? Textured hair encompasses anything from loose waves to tightly coiled. Textured hair requires a bit more maintenance due to the cuticle of the hair naturally being more open. Every bend in your hair where it waves or coils is an opening in the cuticle so it's incredibly easy for textured hair to lose moisture and become dry and brittle, especially in cold climates! These are some of my go-to products and tools for textured hair!

So yesterday was....wild. I did 3 colors in 11 hours That's actually my dream. I LOVE doing color, especially long projects. I was running behind and stressed, and had things going on in my personal life, so didn't take as much footage of this as I wanted, but still got enough to make a short video! This took FIVE HOURS. She had enough hair for, I don't know, 10 people. But I got to take her Color Virginity 😏 and we decided, go big or go home! We cut about 6 inches off, lightened it to a perfect pale blonde, and then I put a custom mix of pink over her fresh new ombre. Because I lifted her to a pure blonde, she can let the pink fade and then rock a pretty blonde ombre if she wants, or she might come back and do another fun color over it! (I kinda hope it's that option 🙊 she might do blue next 👀👀) hope you're having a great start to your Wednesday!

Just bein a snow bb! We actually have so much more snow right now than this! We just got like 8 or so inches overnight-when I opened my backdoor to let Mabel outside, the screen door hardly wanted to open 😅 it's so beautiful though. I'm just grateful I don't have to leave my house today. A good, cozy day 🥰

One current makeup trend is the "fox eye" trend. This was my super quick version (and first attempt ever lol) for before work! Basically creating a liner with brown eyeshadow and blending it up to soften it to lift/snatch the eye! Hope you enjoy!

Can't wait to share more of this set with you guys! This shoot was sooooo much fun. I've done at least 3 shoots in the last week and it has honestly been so amazing. Creating content for you all has really unlocked an old passion in me. When I was a teenager during the MySpace days I would always do little photoshoots with my tiny trash digital camera and edit them as best as I could with no programs, but I always loved it. I forgot how much I loved it. Years of eating disorders and destroyed self confidence kept me away from the camera for a long time, and it feels so good to be back. I have you all to thank for that! Thank you for being here. Thank you for supporting me. I love you guys!

Balayage Goodness! Her hair was completely natural and I got to color it for the first time ever! That always makes me so excited when a client trusts me to color their hair for the first time. We kept it subtle, yet noticeable for a nice pop of caramel in her natural chocolatey color 🍫🤤

Gotta love a perfect blend! 😜🤤 I love the Matrix HD reds so much! They are perfect for you if you love a vibrant red that LASTS! The color technology uses a 6 sided color dye molecule that is able to penetrate the cuticle and expand to stick better than average color molecules. Pretty cool! That being said, it's not a great choice for people who like to change their color up a lot for those same reasons! I'm a huge fan of red hair, it's so fun!
