Hey bbs! I hope you all have an AMAZING Thursday. I just wanna share a little real life with you...is that ok? I hope it is. But the reality is that all of us struggle sometimes. Today my anxiety is a bit overwhelming. Woke up feeling a bit panicky so I need to listen to myself and my body. I'm not going to really be online at all today so I can focus on myself and my own mental health. I'll pop on here a couple times though, and dms with tips will get the quickest answer as always. I'm at work today so might as well post some hair, right? 😅 Here is a little before and after action on my lovely Salon Owner! 🥰 Swipe to see the before and after comparisons! We did a full head of babylights and painted over the ends with lightener to refresh right before shampooing and then give her a fresh sandy beige tone. She has naturally very curly/textured hair so we are always very smart about lightening her and of course use Olaplex every step of the way because healthy hair is beautiful hair. Wow! So far everyone has voted they want to see the Get Ready with Me video which is so awesome! So here it is- 5 minutes of my daily "before work" routine. Notice how healthy her natural curl still is? Heat, when used properly and with the right product, isn't as scary as we sometimes think it is! What do you think, babies?

One of my hair besties took this pic of me during one of our salon photoshoots. I always used to shy away from the camera because I didn't want to be seen- thinking I should be ashamed of my body, even though I think it is so fun to take pictures and have my picture taken..getting dressed up, doing my hair and makeup, editing, the whole process! Representation is so important and since I've filled my feeds with bodies that look more like mine and since I've actually had the opportunities to spend more time in front of the camera than behind it, I've grown so much more confident and have such a new appreciation for my body. I will never miss out on things because I'm afraid of how I will look again. It makes me sad thinking of all the things I've missed out on because I thought I was too fat. Beach trips, staying in the AC on hot days because I didn't want to wear shorts, bike rides...the list goes on. But now I always remind myself I don't have to look a certain way to exist and live my life. Have you ever missed out on an opportunity because of a similar reason? Tell me about it in the comments!
