Pretty In Pink Part 6 Hospital update....... I went to see..
Pretty In Pink Part 6 Hospital update....... I went to see my 3rd surgeon yesterday & he is taking me on as his patient! so I ''finally'' have a surgeon :-D We had a long talk about everything and it really hit home how serious this is :-( especially as my age is so low to have a para-esophageal hiatus hernia. He said that from the notes of my previous surgeon, it sounds like most of my stomach is in my chest and that the wrap I had done on my stomach on my previous hiatus hernia repair back in about 2016 sounds like it is still intact but is also now in my chest! So he wants to do more tests to see why my last op failed so spectacularly. He said that he thinks I may have a very rare condition where I have a short Esophagus which acts like an elastic band pulling my stomach up. If this is the case then it's even more problematic :-( and I would then also need to have my Esophagus lengthened. It is also highly likely that I wont be able to have it done by keyhole this time :'( and that every time this op fails the less likely it is to be successful the next time! which is why it's so scary having this problem at my age. He said that the op probably will not get rid of all of my symptoms & that there is a high chance of him damaging a main nerve which is next to my stomach, which I found out that my previous surgeon must have bruised last time which has been causing me problems ever since & that this new op could make that even worse :'( The op wont be done until after Christmas, which to be honest I was expecting. Please wish me luck and keep your fingers crossed for me <3

The second surgeon that I have been referred to thinks that I need to be seen by a specialist & so I have now been referred to a different hospital which is 25 miles away from my house (no one in my house drives) So now I have to wait ''again'' for a letter from my new surgeon! 3rd time lucky I'm hoping!! So I'm no closer to even knowing when my operation is going to be :'( I have lost 35lbs now & am completely drained mentally & physically, so I apologise for being absent a lot at the moment, I will be back to posting almost every day when I'm better. Thank you all for still being here <3 it really does mean a lot to me <3 <3 <3 XxxX
