We wake up in the morning and decide we're going to do and be our very best, for ourselves and each other. No matter what. I started this thinking that I would send it out as PPV but I decided that it's something that is perhaps helpful, necessary, and/or applicable to a lot of people right now. And probably in the future, depending on how your life is structured. So I decided to just post it up and pin it, because no matter who you are or what's going down, you can always use a lift. It's not naked or porn, but it's something that I think I would like to see from the people I subscribe to so I hope it is helpful, or entertaining, or fun for you.

On my way back from Jamaica, I got stopped by customs because I forgot to throw away a ham sandwich and you're not supposed to bring meat back into the country, I guess. I was a little sassy as they insisted they needed to search my bags, knowing I had nothing to worry about. But... I had packed a tote bag that I used to bring things to set (whatever shoes, wardrobe, etc I needed for the day) and completely missed a very small dollar store style pipe. With the faintest hint of that beautiful flower residue on it. Fuuuuck. They grilled me about it and asked me if I brought weed INTO Jamaica FROM the US. Like... no? You don't bring sand to a beach. They kept me there for a few more minutes and then let me go. And I never made a dumb mistake like that again.

This isn't porny or especially sexy, but here is a video about dorky robots that I've made! I've been planning to shoot this for a while but I needed to collect the guests of honor first. This is a fun trip down memory lane of some of the silly little Arduino bots I've built over the years. You'll understand when you see them why I am very much an *amateur* roboticist, but all of these little cuties functioned well and served honorably. Essentially, I learned how to write code and understand Arduinos and robotics from building these to use on GonzoVR, an erstwhile VR live broadcasting platform that my former business partner and I created. Like its namesake, my dog Gonzo, it is no longer around, but I keep these as a reminder that sometimes tasks that seem insurmountable are actually more achievable than I think. As for the robots: we've got Vroommate*, the Treat Dispenser, Upvote Meter, and SlapBot. Harry Plotter couldn't be here with us today as he is in my parents' garage still. Then a few little bits and bobs from the VR camera rigs we've build over the years. *I meant to note that the little "tail" on Vroommate is actually an upcycled fancy Slurpee straw that I attached to it so that the cables wouldn't get tangled in the wheels.

TBT- this was my first time in a glass-bottom boat, my second time in Jamaica. I was there with @violet_monroe and some other performers and it was incredibly fun. Except.... I didn't know that the director had planned for me to fall backwards out of the boat into the water for the last scene. Fun fact- I can kind of swim, I guess, and I'm terrified of being in natural water. I decided to just slowly lower myself into the water before we tried to shoot, just to see if maybe I'd actually be fine with it. I shrieked like a banshee as soon as I was off the boat, continuously like a siren, until I clambered back on board. We chose a different approach for the closing shot.
