Finally home 🏡 Wow this jet lag has me 🤪 Time to unpack and get back to it! Thanks for your patience while I’ve been traveling and teaching, it has been so much fun. I truly love to teach and share everything I’ve learned with the world 🌎, it’s been a long road of acquiring fight and combat information. If you could have one hour with me, what would you want to learn? ⏰
Loving it here in Belgium 🇧🇪 Teaching really makes me happy. All of the experiences I’ve gained from training and competing are so fun to share, and to import and export in and out of other countries makes me feel so good! If you could learn one move from me, what would it be?
I was asked “what would you do to him?” being that he was really strong and stocky and a hard fighter to get a good shot on. So I went front headlock funk style gator roll. Would you have seen that coming? How about the mount to elbow to finish? 😏 This move has been a part of my game since highschool freestyle wrestling. It’s golden 💰🥰
🐸🐸🐸 This is something that’s always been a very private situation to me, but I’m doing pretty good right now so I’m going to put it out there, incase one of you need to hear it There are many many fighters you would never think of who practice this as well, however I like to think I’m one of the originals, as I started doing Kambo about 7 years ago. I started when I was still desperately physically, mentally and emotionally struggling after my life felt flipped upside down from events of 2014. I’m a huge believer in ancient, original and various plant medicines and psychedelic use. (I believe in the necessary use for western meds at times as well, so don’t get mad 😅) This practices was one of the original cures for disease, trauma, mental illnesses, virus, infection, infertility, plagues and it dates back thousands of years to the indigenous tribes of South America. The process can be quite uncomfortable and I would compare it to how hard it is to cut the final pounds while doing a large difficult weight cut. However, my willingness to face this discomfort continues to change my life. If you feel called to Iearn about it I would encourage you to look it up for yourself. 🐸 It has made my crazy life manageable and I’m truly grateful and feel lucky to have been able to encounter such a sincere healing practices. What would you be willing to do for the high potential that your life, perspective, health, traumas, habits (maybe even karmas) could change for the better? Serious question. I had to honestly ask myself this at one point too.
I love getting to shop and get pretty dresses that I can’t get anywhere at home. This is part of the yin yang of my life ☯️. What I do and teach can feel very masculine at times, so I like to balance it with the feminine things 💖. Today I went shopping in Belgium and tried on this Swedish cut dress in pink. It’s so silky and feels so smooth on my skin. Do you think I look pretty? Should buy it? 👗
Rise and grind! I have to run so many errands today before I leave for my trip. It’ll be a lot that I waited to do until the last minute. The problem with me procrastinating is that I always still get everything done! ✔️😂 Apparently I like the pressure 😑🙄😜
Who on here is also a very successful procrastinator? What have you been putting off that you want or have been meaning to do?
Talk about behind the scenes! 😂 Being an athlete who is required to travel to multiple practices a day, I’ve had to learn major wardrobe adaptation skills with removing sweaty clothes while being in a rush going from practice to practice. I can remove my bottoms as well as my tops from under clothing and have even had to do it while being stopped at a stoplight! 🚘🚦😏💪🏼 Do you have any quirky special clothing skills?
Me vs Miesha Tate Who remembers this fight? What did you truly think when they decided to add women to the UFC? Were you curious? Against it? For it? I remember walking out to this fight and being so nervous and grateful, I almost couldn’t snap out of it. The pressure was on for me to prove that we could put on good fights and deserved to be there. It took me a while to wake up and start fighting back, she definitely beat my ass that first round haha I think this match up was very calculated, they wanted us to be really skilled and intense but also very feminine. Do you think they did a good job?
Me right now, fresh out of bed 🥱 I have 9 hours before I have a tequila tasting event tonight 😏 I’ll go LIVE with @jessicapenne at 7pm PST and you can join in on the fun 🥃😅🥰😘
And thanks for the ❤️ on this International Women’s Day, Im going to go get a pedicure and some pampering today 😘
I have a lot of unpacking to do 😅 I’m so excited about my new home. I won’t lie, getting here was intense! I like change but boy it can feel overwhelming at times. I’m glad I’m finally here, cozy and get to start on another new chapter 🥰📖🧦🏡
Saturday vibes💫 I’m spending the day packing 📦 and moving 🚛 I’ll need some time tonight to unwind 🤪 So Ill pick the dress, and you pick the entertainment. Where would we go tonight? 🍷 🍽️ 💃🏻🕺🏻
I LOVE when I get to use my feminine energy and get to just be hot and feel girly! Dance class on Thursdays might just have to be a thing. Next time I’ll see if I can sneak a video and show you the floor work that makes us need knee pads!! 🥵
Footwork is footwork and it all contributes to being a better athlete, plus it’s fun, so I’ll take it! 💪🏼
Hey everyone 😘 Myself, @jenniferodell and @jessicapenne are going live tomorrow from our fun OF photo shoot in LA. Tell us your questions, topics and custom ideas in the comments 👇🏼 Make sure to tune in at 4:30 pm PST to hang out and watch behind the scenes! See you soon 💋
I rarely get a six-pack but I alway have had these side abs. I am really strong at squeezing while in good positions and am very strong in bridging while getting out of bad positions. Not many people have been able to keep me on my back in a fight or dodge the head kick-takedown that comes with the power of my strong hips and obliques. My body is strongest from the hips up, even though my legs are also very strong. Where would you say you’re strongest? Upper body or lower body? I’m thinking I’m going to start some pole dance to keep my core strength and flexibility while I’m taking this little reset break. Can’t wait 💃🏻🪩
Finally back after three days of coaching wrestling 🤼 I’m worn out, but I’m really proud of all the competitors. Happy to be home and able to relax now, I think I’ll have myself an old fashioned 🥃🏠❤️🤗 We didn’t get the results we wanted at the tournament but they still medaled and the journey was amazing. I wouldn’t take back a single second 🥰 I’m pretty sure my UFC fight picks were all wrong 😂 so it just wasn’t my weekend, however, it would have been a great one for you to bet against me 🤔😝 Thanks for being a fun place to come back to. You all are great 🙏🏼😘😉
Here are my UFC 298 fight picks for this weekend, and my expert (or emotional) opinion on why 😉! What are your picks? Do you agree or disagree with mine?
🚨Also save the date and put on your calendars🗓️ Monday Feb 19th at 6:00pm PST is the next livestream. 🚨 I have some cool stuff to go over and new raffle items to share, so make sure you join in!
Hope you have a wonderful and loving Valentine’s Day 😘 Thanks for being my sweethearts 💕 What are you plans for the day? I definitely feel like some treats 😋🤓
Fighter legs 💋 Between wrestling and MMA I’ve had two staph infections that required 5 surgeries, a right torn ACL, right and left torn meniscus and multiple PRP/stem cells treatments. Yes I may have some scars, but at least I don’t have excuses. My knees and feet are still my greatest weapons.
UFC 232 The night before weigh-ins against Megan Anderson This fight got moved from Las Vegas to LA last minute, because Jon Jones tested positive for steroids. Las Vegas boxing commission wouldn’t allow it, but LA would! Who remembers this New Years weekend?
I’m someone that needs intensity and change in my life. For college I went full scholarship to wrestle, and my original major was Sports psychology. I changed over to sports med after a while. My biggest problem was the homework. I was exhausted at the end of the day and I couldn’t retain anything I was reading and when I thought about the job these would eventually turn in to, I didn’t like the thought of sitting in the same place doing the same predictable thing every day. My body needs to move or I can get anxious. Eventually I changed my major to sign language interpreting, since I had a lot of deaf people in my life, thinking that would have provided me with a good amount of variety in my day. While I was in school I found BJJ and that changed everything. Eventually jiu jitsu lead to Muay Thai and then MMA. I decided to put finishing school on hold to pursue this possible professional combat career. Now I can’t imagine what life would be like if I didn’t have to gear up for work every time. It’s very unpredictable, difficult, ever changing and has no real boss other than myself. No two days are alike. Even when I’m physically exhausted or injured, I’m still really happy for this to be my path. I like goals with intensity and consequences, I wouldn’t be happy if I had to be doing anything else. So putting on layers of pads and braces and wraps truly is me living my purpose. And without it I’d never have met all you guys either :) 🙏🏼grateful
