Taking a photo to see what the camera will capture, then setting the timer. There are two FaceApp edits to make me look younger because it’s an attempted in character pose as fifteen-year-old Mikayla Astralis from my third novel, The Other Side Of Life. She prefers to be called Mik. Mikayla is a name that she was given when she lived in Winter House, before being adopted at eleven by Illayne Astralis. Illayne was heavily pregnant when she adopted Mik and after her son Lucas was born, Mik took her school work home for six months so that she could help Illayne with Lucas until Illayne could manage him by herself.

Almost 50% of the way through the first revision of my novella in progress. Down to a little under 43K words.

Denny’s is a good place to write.

Mon fils recommended I get on Twitch. I was dubious because I was certain it was exclusively for gamers who stream what they’re playing, but he assured me it’s a platform for all sorts. Goodness.

I’ve scheduled the unblurred video for next month. Embodying a character from my novella in progress, whose death is under investigation by the main character, who is a highly skilled telepath from an elite line of clones. It’s an off-world sci-fi. I’m about 45% of the way through the first revision.

May 2018. Approaching the completion of the final draft of my first novel, The Nighttide Of Summerlong. Synchronicity as life imitates art. I was in Denny’s when this happened.

Public Wi-Fi in a park. Discovered this place because I missed a turn.

Still got my birthday toenails. FYI right little toenail is not painted due to a fungal infection that I am self-treating with Canestan topical cream, which is available over-the-counter from the pharmacy.

To date, I have never sold a photo on EyeEm, though I have several on the market and three photos selected for Partner. From my experience, almost every shot showing a face with no or practically indiscernible nudity will sell. Shots with inanimate objects may be marketable. This one won’t be. I can just tell. Bizarrely, I am listed on a webpage as an employee of EyeEm, which is based in Germany. I was not aware that I was on their payroll and have received no payments or anything from them!

Will need a selfie stick for the “dead” shots for my Eyes Of Laura Mars piece. Will probably use my Android selfie stick with my iPhone because cannae be bovvered wiv new one.

Received some unexpectedly excellent news. That’s why I’ve deactivated some of my other SM accounts. Need time to process the changes that will occur in the second half of this year.
